| Expert analysis of
machinery enhanced through the use of DLI Engineering’s ExpertALERT Software |
Predict provides
vibration services for all types of rotating machinery in the power, chemical, plastics, mining,
refining, manufacturing, and metals businesses. In fact, we
can analyze rotating machinery
virtually anywhere it is being used in any industry.
Predict can reduce the cost of vibration analysis by setting
up all machines and the vibration database ahead of time, then sending a data
collection instrument to you to collect data.
This eliminates the normal charge for labor to have a contractor come on
site and collect themselves. We can, if
you have no labor available, provide a trained individual to collect the data.
|
 |
| Our services include providing your facility with a survey
to determine which machines should be analyzed, the types of condition
monitoring that should be applied and the frequency of monitoring. |
|
|
 |
Once a machine is selected for monitoring, Predict will go
to your site and setup each machine for analysis, including:
- Preparing
the surface at each bearing point to permanently attach, using
high-temperature epoxy adhesive, an oriented brass or stainless steel pad,
with a protective plastic cap, and an aluminum label with a bar code
number that uniquely identifies the point to our database.
- Collecting machine information on forcing frequency
information to identify all sites of potential faults that may indicate a
particular problem.
|
3. Taking a digital
picture of the machine to put in database so that analysts and other personnel
have a full understanding of exactly what the machine is and how it is
installed.
4. Collecting
the first set of data on each machine running at the time of setup and training
customer personnel in the proper operation of the data collection
instrument.
5. Analysis
and determination of maintenance actions based on the type and severity of
faults found.
|
|
| Predict
collects vibration data in a manner that ensures maximum information on
machine condition can be determined from a single collection of data.
At each data collection point, two Fmax's are collected, one for low
frequencies in the zero to ten orders of fundamental speed, and one for
high frequencies in the zero to one hundred orders of fundamental speed. |
|
| The
use of epoxy to attach oriented pads, in addition to
using triaxial accelerometers ensures that the maximum amount of
vibration data is collected to determine machine condition. Epoxied
pads allow a high resolution of frequencies that are significantly
higher than two-pole magnet assemblies, even when the sensors in the
triaxial unit are not on the main access of installation. |
 |
|
DLI Engineering's award-winning ExpertALERT screening system ensures that most faults are found and identified by our Analysts.
Predict's report of
findings provide concise recommendations for maintenance actions if any
faults are found. We do not merely indicate that a problem exists; we
identify the fault, or potential faults, and suggest what actions may
be necessary to mitigate the circumstances.
A
summary page of rankings for all equipment being monitored is
presented, allowing an easy way for management to determine the
maintenance condition of their facility at a glance.
